When I was younger we used to have Marathon (Snickers)
and Opal Fruits (Starburst).
But the new names seem out of place. What do others think?
Showing my age here.
Thanks.

I have noticed that people who use yahoo answers to market their product are shallow enough to report other people who do the same. The question then is whether there should be a small amount of ethics applied here.

I started up this promotional business with the thought that with low overhead, and cutting out everyone but the factory, I would be able to blow out the competition. Which I have. But the problem is telling people about it! What do you recommend?
Oh, the site is www.imexpromo.com

I know that online marketing can be tough, but has anyone had any real luck and with what products? I don’y believe these products are so much scams as people get hooked with poor mentors.

Are there any brand marketing companies in Los Angeles that offer six figure salaries and have project managers who handle tracking hours against budgets instead of relying on account managers to do it along with all of their other responsibilities? Am I being naive?

Firstly for a small campaign… say two people leafleting and sampling at a single shop.
Then for a larger campaign, sampling in say around 10 locations with around 4 promo staff on each location.
If you don’t know for those situations then just a rough example of the price and scale of campaign would be great.
Thanks!

How do you like it? Is it easy to transfer in to from previous advertising/marketing/comm positions? What is the best way to break into the field? Are the hours long? What types of people have you worked with – in the office, not your client base?

I work in marketing and am bombarded with emails offering venues, marketing and promotional items and various other arb services. I did not ask these people to contact me, but understand and appreciate that they are only trying to market themselves. Replying takes up my time and email resources. What should [...]
