Will a wireless NETGEAR internet router provide wifi for iPod Touch?

But I just found out that the brand of the wireless internet connector is NETGEAR. It is hooked up to the desktop in my sister’s room.
My question is if this will provide wifi for my new iPod touch, which I’m purchasing for Christmas.
